Meet Bronwyn Hudson: Helping Employees Take Charge of Their Wellbeing
At Givenwell, our mission is simple: empower employees to take charge of their mental and physical health on their own terms. This week, that mission just got a new champion. We’re thrilled to welcome Bronwyn Hudson to the team as our Director of Education and Impact.
She’s a Masters-qualified Registered Clinical Nutritionist, PREKURE Certified Master Health Coach, and PhD researcher, with over a decade of experience helping people connect the dots between food and mood, lifestyle, and wellbeing. Her work brings together the latest science with a compassionate, practical approach – because real change only matters if it can be lived out in the messiness of everyday life. Basically, she knows her stuff – and she knows how to make it actually work in real life.
From Teacher to Coach
Bronwyn started out as a primary school teacher. But when a family health challenge hit close to home, she dove into lifestyle medicine and mental health nutrition, wanting to support those she loved - and, along the way, discovering a passion for supporting others.
Over the years, she’s built a thriving clinical practice and is now pursuing a PhD exploring the “coach approach” in psychological health. Her focus? Helping people become the experts of their own wellbeing.
"I used to see myself as the expert, personalising everything for my clients," Bronwyn says. "Now I get out of the way and help people work out for themselves what works best. My role is to create the safe conditions for them to explore, experiment, and ultimately become the experts of their own wellbeing."
Small Steps, Big Impact
Bronwyn’s approach is all about small consistent actions – practical habits that fit into real life. Whether it’s pausing to notice how your body feels after a meal, stepping outside for natural light first thing in the morning, or putting your phone down for a tech-free five minutes, these small moments add up to meaningful change.
"Progress matters more than perfection," she explains. "Wellbeing has to be lived in real life, not in an idealised version of it."
Why Givenwell is a Great Fit
Bronwyn joins a team that values choice, agency, and confidentiality. If you’re already using Givenwell, you may have seen Bronwyn’s face on the platform. She’s been helping employees as a provider for some time. Now she’s bringing that same expertise to shaping the business itself.
"Givenwell is designed around agency and choice," she says. "It empowers people to choose the support that feels right for them, which is exactly what makes change safe, personal and sustainable."
As Director of Education and Impact, we’re excited to see Bronwyn help shape thought leadership and practical wellbeing solutions – using science and coaching to close the gap between knowing and doing, so that employees can put wellbeing into action, every day.
At Givenwell, we believe wellbeing should be personal, proactive, and practical, and Bronwyn is helping make that happen.
